Court decides Franken Wins

As our country continues the plunge into socialism, the following pretty much sums up what politics has come to today... an out of work & bad comedian has become a Senator.

Franken's presence in the Senate would give the Democrats control of 60 seats, enough to overcome any Republican filibuster if they stay united.

A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the earliest Franken would be seated is next week, because the Senate is out of session for the July 4 holiday.

"I look forward to working with Senator-Elect Franken to build a new foundation for growth and prosperity by lowering health care costs and investing in the kind of clean energy jobs and industries that will help America lead in the 21st century," President Barack Obama said.

Franken will immediately join the rank ranks of elected idiots like Ninny Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dennis Kookcinich. He'll be like their "Joe" - the fourth stooge.

Statewide Tea Party Patriot Action Alert

Saddle Up Tea Party Patriots we are taking a road trip! That's right - we are taking it to our legislators and going to Columbus to sit in on the House vote of HB 1 freshly out of conference committee.

After having only 2 last-minute public conference committee meetings, (the last one being tomorrow) and MANY private meetings to work out over 960 differences in the House & Senate version of HB 1 -- the House & Senate are preparing to vote on our budget.

This includes the latest gambling proposal by Gov. Strickland & an extensive lobbying effort to increase funding with money our state does not have!

We smell another Crap & Charade type passing of a bill!

Not only will we try to sit in on the vote, we will demand that the bill in its' entirety be read aloud. While we wait, we will go to the office of each member of the House & Senate asking if they read the whole bill and any amendments from the conference committee. We will let every member of the House & Senate know that, if there are ANY earmarks in the bill, we demand that they vote NO!
  • Place: State House
  • Date: Monday June 29, 2009
  • Time: 9:00am
  • Directions: South on I-71 until you smell the stench! (Or click here) There is public parking under the State House and many public lots in the immediate area.

Premier Obamao: Killing us Softly with his Socialist Song

We are one step closer to heating our homes with sticks and like in the Flintsones - having a little monkey running on a conveyor belt for our electricity. The House, without even reading it, just passed an over-reaching, Ohio killing bill. The Crap & Charade bill that barely passed in the House will turn our country on its' heels and will figuratively speaking hold you upside down while they shake out the lint and what change is left in our pockets.
Hailing the House, President Obama put pressure on senators Saturday to follow its lead and pass legislation to limit greenhouse gas emissions, helping usher the U.S. into a new age of energy efficiency.

"Now my call to every senator, as well as to every American, is this: We cannot be afraid of the future. And we must not be prisoners of the past," the president said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "Don't believe the misinformation out there that suggests there is somehow a contradiction between investing in clean energy and economic growth. It's just not true." (USA Today)
If one did not know the above statements were made by Premier Obamao, you could easily assume they came from his book club buddy Skipper Hugo from Venezuela or his fair weathered friend & apology seeking buddy - Iranian mad man Imachickenhead. But no, they came from the save the day sycophant who is quickly destroying our country.

They say actions speak louder than words; Don't believe we are flying head first down the slippery slope of becoming a "share the wealth" socialist society? One of the propaganda driven talking points used by Premier Obamao for the the Crap & Charade Bill was that it would "protect consumers from rising energy costs by giving rebates and credits to low-income households."

So we will be taxed more for our energy costs and forced to pay higher utility bills, this money will be used to fund fixing something yet proven to exist (Global Warming), and be used to pay for "others" unable to afford the cost increases. I'm all for decreasing our dependency on foreign sources of energy - but killing our economy and further depleting our work force is not the answer.

For me, it sounds as if we are getting screwed twice and not even getting a kiss on the back door bend over! Damn, we're not even getting a pat on the head or a " Ummph! Ahh! Thanks, I'm done, that was great. Now go get me a beer."

Girlieman of the Week: Perez Hilton

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --

Girlieman of the Week

Date Awarded: June 26, 2009

Girlieman: Perez Hilton

Girlie Antics: Dishes it out, but can’t take it.

If you’ve never heard of a music wrangler named - this is not a typo - Will.I.Am, don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. He, is, I recently learned, a member of the group Back-Eyed Peas. It’s that latter fact which put Will.I.Am on the pink panty wearing radar of that GLAAD BAAG rump ranger, Perez Hilton.

Full of himself, and it, after derailing the aspirations of Carrie Prejean, during the Miss USA pageant, this prancing pimple on humanity’s butt, started sniping at the Black-Eyed Peas and their lead singer, Fergie. Eventually, thanks to fickle fate, Perez crossed paths with Fergie’s bandmate, Will.I.Am., at a video awards show in Toronto (Cana-DUH).

During the ensuing exchange of pleasantries, Will.I.Am, told Perez to lay off Fergie. Feeling smug and snarky, Perez called Will.I.Am a "faggot". By the time the dust finally settled, the Black-Eyed Peas manager, Polo Molina, had - by Hilton’s count - punched him in the face, at least three times. Apparently, Polo needs to spend some time in the gym, because, despite taking several shots at Hilton, he barely left a mark on the caterwauling cretin’s face.

Marked or not, panty punk had a hissy fit, thinking, no doubt, that he’s qualified for what the Ace of Spades HQ folks call the ‘Girl Rule’. That would allow panty punk to say anything he wants, without, as Ace puts it "earning a one-way ticket to Shinerville". If that’s what Panty Punk Perez thought, he knows better, now.

Perez Hilton is the poster pussy for ‘dishes it out, but can’t take it’. He thinks he’s a ‘girl’, and thus immune to the normal repercussions that ensue when a man mouths off to the wrong dude, by spewing ‘fighting words’. Panty Punk, you’re a dude, but, if you keep up this crap, some dude is going to rectify that inconvenient biological truth. Since there’s nothing the FSOP can do to hasten that glorious, nadless, day, we do what we can by naming Perez Hilton the Politically Incorrect Gazette’s Girlieman of the Week.

Robert's Rules

For the reading pleasure of all us waterboard lovers...

Robert's Rules

"Resolve to perform what you ought. Perform without fail what you resolve." --Benjamin Franklin

Anyone familiar with the procedures for deliberative assemblies will recognize "Robert's Rules of Order," a manual authored by a 19th-century Army officer and adopted as the standard for official proceedings. Of course, a discussion of parliamentary procedure would be an unwelcome and out-of-order topic for The Patriot, but there are some rules we should consider amid the endless bantering about how to treat jihadi detainees.

To that end, I ask that you consider another "Robert's Rules," those of Robert Rogers, an 18th-century military officer who authored "The True Plan of Discipline" for his Rangers in 1759. Rogers is considered the Father of the U.S. Army Rangers, and the 75th Ranger Regiment can trace its heritage of unconventional tactics and ethos to Rogers' standing orders for his Rangers. It is worth revisiting Rogers' unconventional tactics in order to better understand all the controversy over the CIA's unconventional methods for coercing actionable intelligence from three terrorist Jihadis at Gitmo: 9/11 architect Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and his friends Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri.

In 2007, The New York Times published a report about jihadi captives being subject to "torture." In a New York second, a little known presidential aspirant, Barack Hussein Obama, made this issue a centerpiece of his campaign and a rallying point for his vocal base of Socialist peaceniks. Obama declared he would put an end to the "torture" and close the Guantanamo holding facility.

BHO is now trying to make good on that promise, but not without compromising U.S. national security, emboldening our enemies by way of his timidity and lack of resolve, and sustaining substantial casualties among his political ranks. (See Nancy Pelosi's tortured efforts to run for cover: "We were not -- I repeat -- were not told that waterboarding or any other of these other enhanced interrogation methods were used.")

In 2002, the U.S. Office of Legal Counsel issued a secret memorandum approving what former CIA director Porter Goss called "a professional interrogation technique," waterboarding. The technique was described as follows: "A cloth is placed over the forehead and eyes. Water is then applied to the cloth in a controlled manner. Once the cloth is saturated and completely covers the mouth and nose, air flow is slightly restricted for 20 to 40 seconds due to the presence of the cloth ... During those 20 to 40 seconds, water is continuously applied (from a canteen cup or small watering
can). The cloth is lifted, and the individual is allowed to breathe unimpeded for three or four full breaths ... The procedure may then be repeated [but] would not last more than 20 minutes in any one application."

For many years, waterboarding has been used in the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) training course for U.S. military special operators including Navy SEALs, Marine Force Recon and Army Delta Force. Everyone survives it, but only after revealing whatever information they were told previously to withhold. In other words, waterboarding is not deadly, but it is effective.

The Eighth Amendment to our Constitution stipulates, "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." Obama has argued that waterboarding constitutes "cruel and unusual punishment."
I beg to differ.

First, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri have no constitutional rights. As non-U.S. citizens, they may have some rights under international conventions to which the U.S. is a signatory, but no constitutional rights.

Second, using a dull blade to saw the head off of a non-combatant captive as Khalid did to American journalist Daniel Pearl, and proudly videotaping Pearl's execution for the world to see, constitutes torture by any civilized standards -- which is to say that "cruel and unusual punishment" is, and necessarily should be, relative to cultural
practice.

In any context other than the warped alternate universe that exists inside the Beltway, it is absurd to suggest that waterboarding, sleep and spatial deprivation, face-slapping, and loop-playing objectionable music constitute "torture." But for those in the political class who begin their day with mochaccinos, cappuccinos or frappuccinos, spend their day receiving constituent kowtows, and end it with expensive Chardonnays -- missing a tennis match or golf game is torture.

Robert Rogers and his Rangers, however, understood that defeating one's enemy, particularly in unconventional asymmetric warfare v. conventional or symmetric warfare, requires unconventional methods.

Rogers was born the son of Scots-Irish immigrants to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1731, and grew up in New Hampshire. He learned his skills of stealth, perseverance, tenacity and adaptability in the forests and mountain frontiers of New England, where terror reigned upon settlers in the form of attacks by barbaric native peoples.

Rogers' unconventional ambush and survival tactics were adapted from these dangerous adversaries. His skills led to a leadership position among a group of men of similar ability and temperament that he chose to combat the French and Indians on the frontier from 1754 to 1763. King George II's Crown regiments could not contend with unconventional warfare in the wilderness, but Rogers' Rangers could. So effective were the Rangers that they became the Crown's primary scouting unit by 1755.

In a new biography on Rogers, "War on the Run" by John Ross, the author details how effective Rogers' Rangers were with their unconventional tactics, and their ability to fight fire with fire. Ross notes that Rogers understood psychological warfare was as important as firepower or numerical superiority in order to defeat an enemy.

For example, Rogers once scalped a French captive in plain view of his fort's French garrison. The French surrendered shortly thereafter. Native tribes aligned with the French against the British also came to fear Rogers' Rangers, who had not only adapted many of their tactics, but had perfected them. A decade after the end of the French and Indian war, men from the ranks of the Rangers were among the militiamen at the Battle of Concord Bridge.

The lesson for Obama, which every combat-seasoned special operator already fully understands, is this: To defeat a vicious enemy -- especially the kind that hijacks civilian airliners and flies them into civilian buildings, the kind that saws the heads off civilians and posts the videos on the Internet -- that enemy must be confronted without restraints like Obama's moratorium against pouring water in a terrorist's face to get information about which American citizens will be murdered next.

Earlier this month, Obama told Islamic masses in Cairo, "The fear and anger that [9/11] provoked was understandable, but in some cases, it led us to act contrary to our traditions and our ideals. We are taking concrete actions to change course." Clearly, the "cases" he was referring to are those of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri. Obama also told his Muslim brethren, "Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance." I guess from his vantage point -- sipping a frappuccino between cigarettes over The New York Times every morning, prior to issuing daily marching orders to his Leftist cadres -- waterboarding must seem barbaric and Shariah Law tolerant.

It is a tragic reality that Obama and his acolytes might only "see the light" when some "tolerant" cell of jihadis detonates a nuclear device in a U.S. urban center. Perhaps the source of their fissile core will be an Islamic nuclear power Obama coddled for conversation like, say, Iran, which has certainly been demonstrating its penchant of late for Muslim tolerance of Iranian dissenters.

Islamikaze's execute an American Missionary

Since as Premier Obamao put it, "We are not a Christian nation & Islamikaze extremists are cool and not filled with hate," maybe the below religious execution of an American Missionary spreading Christianity was just a fluke.

From National Terror Alert --
A branch of terrorist group al-Qaida on Thursday claimed responsibility for the death of Mr. Leggett, who was shot several times by unidentified gunmen.

Arab satellite TV station Al-Jazeera said it received an audio statement from al-Qaida’s North Africa branch in which the group said it killed the 39-year-old for trying to convert Muslims to Christianity in Nouakchott, Mauritania, according to The Associated Press.

“Two knights of the Islamic Maghreb succeeded Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. to kill the infidel American Christopher Leggett for his Christianizing activities,” the group said in the statement.
Since Legget was American, I wonder if Premier O-panty-waist will somehow turn this into being our fault and apologize for this too!

National Government Run Health Care

From Net Right Nation --
A headline in today’s edition of Roll Call summarizes the health care debate this week: “More Hurdles for Health Care.” Democrats struggled with their various health care proposals last week in the wake of inconvenient reports that the two health care bills in the Senate would likely cost in excess of $1 trillion and would fail to cover all uninsured Americans. This week, more problems are surfacing as Americans get a better look at what President Obama and Democrats are proposing to do.

First, Democrats may have problems with each other when they attempt to merge bills being written in the Senate’s Finance and HELP committees. Roll Call notes, “last week, it was increasingly apparent that these two Senate committees are working on separate, and conflicting, tracks.” While the HELP bill includes a government-run insurance plan that could cost $1.6 trillion over ten years, the Finance bill does not include one. But the Finance bill is estimated to cost $1 trillion, and Democrats are now hastily rewriting it to lower the cost, widening the gap with the HELP bill. Not only that, the lead Democrat legislators on the committees seem to have different goals in mind. On Thursday, Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT), who is writing the HELP bill said, “my goal is not bipartisanship,” and also dismissed cost projections for it. Yet Sen. Max Baucus, chairman of the Finance Committee, said, “I think it’s very important to get a good, bipartisan bill” and is quite concerned with reducing cost projections for his bill.

Indeed, the cost of these health care reforms, and particularly that of government-run health plans, has become a key issue. The Washington Post’s Fred Hiatt sees the writing on the wall, pointing out, “it is quite likely that any legislation that emerges will create a hugely expensive health-care entitlement with no guarantee of the upward cost spiral being slowed.” Saturday, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell [video]discussed this issue. “Throughout this debate . . . the administration’s central argument has been that America needs health care reform for the sake of the economy. Yet according to independent estimates, every health care proposal Democrats on Capitol Hill have offered would only hurt the economy.”

The policies being pushed by Democrats and President Obama look more and more problematic as Americans get a better look at them. Yesterday, George Will explained key problems with the idea of a government-run insurance plan. “The Lewin Group estimates that 70% of the 172 million persons privately covered might be drawn, or pushed, to the government plan. . . . Assurances that the government plan would play by the rules that private insurers play by are implausible. Government is incapable of behaving like market-disciplined private insurers. Competition from the public option must be unfair because government does not need to make a profit and has enormous pricing and negotiating powers. Besides, unless the point of a government plan is to be cheaper, it is pointless.”

A costly government-run insurance plan that pulls people out of the insurance they already have with a $1 trillion-plus price tag that the country can’t afford is not the right direction on health reform. The Hertitage Foundation reports "You Can’t Trust Obama on Health Care" and concludes "The American people know what the true costs of government-run health care would be: lower quality, less access, and less choice. As the health care debate continues this summer, and the reality behind Obama’s rhetoric is exposed, we’ll see how many people still support a government-run health insurance plan.

Cleveland Water Dept. will conduct Public Dog & Pony Show

After continual complaints of incompetence Cleveland Water Dept. (CWD) will conduct a series of meeting dealings with concerns and complaints of residents served by their over 6000 miles of waterlines.

This is nothing more than a typical Cuyahoga County Dog & Pony Show. Your complaints will be heard, you will be given a pat on the head and a promise they will institute change and everything will be OK - they will fix it. I wonder if that means they will fix it the same way they fo their waterlines that continually explode like popcorn at a Saturday night movie...

From the PD --

  • The problems came to light after The Plain Dealer began reporting on issues plaguing residents and business owners who use Cleveland water. The division is run by the city but serves 1.4 million people across Northeast Ohio.

The division, anxious to reach out to disgruntled residents, is holding 10 more customer service fairs over the next three weeks in response to a recent wave of complaints about spiked bills, malfunctioning meters, slow response to service requests and rude treatment by employees.

    Cleveland Division of Water meetings

  • Thursday: Estabrook Recreation Center, 4125 Fulton Road, Cleveland. 6-8 p.m.

  • Monday: Gemini Recreation Center, 21225 Lorain Road, Fairview Park. 6:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Tuesday Valley View Community Center, 6828 Hathaway Road, Valley View. 6-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, June 24: Dodge Intermediate School, 10225 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg. 7-9 p.m.

  • Thursday, June 25: Brook Park Recreation Center, 17400 Holland Road, Brook Park. 6-8 p.m.

  • Monday, June 29: Brunswick Municipal Center, 4095 Center Road, Brunswick. 6-8 p.m.

I stand by my statement that if any of the so-called leaders of this area were truly sincere about reform or regionalizing - Cleveland Water Dept - would be at the top of their list! Nope they give us lip service and a free Dog & Pony Show.

Will Ohio Republican Party back Anti-Gun Mike DeWine?

It looks like once again the party hacks in the Republican party will support another retread politician. Like a punch drunk boxer that doesn't know when to quit - it appears Mike "take their guns" DeWine will be looking to run for office again!

Instead of supporting candidates that share our conservative values and honor the rights protected by our Constitution - the Republican party will support an openly anti-gun candidates is par for the course. And some of you thought Kevin DeSwine (ORP Chair) would be any better than the Blob Bennet the hack that he replaced as State Party Chairman. Nope - different name - same crap...

From Buckeye Firearms --
In 2006, the Ohio Republican Party employed a strategy of supporting candidates with state-wide name recognition (and anti-gun records) over pro-gun candidates that were less well-known.

The state party, under the control of then-Chairman Bob Bennett, backed anti-gun Jeanette Bradley over pro-gun Sandy O'Brien for Treasurer, and anti-gun candidate Betty Montgomery over pro-gun candidate Tim Grendell for Attorney General.

Believing that "O'Brien can't win" in November, party leaders sunk the party's resources into Bradley. Despite having earned statewide name recognition while serving as Lt. Governor in the Taft administration, and despite her opponent having almost no resources (in comparison to the Ohio Republican Party-backed candidate), pro-gun Sandy O'Brien defeated anti-gun Jeanette Bradley in the primary.

Betty Montgomery, meanwhile, who once infamously told Buckeye Firearms Association Chairman Jim Irvine she would "never be the candidate of the NRA", won her primary, but was defeated in November - by a far lesser known and less well-funded (but pro-gun!) Democrat.

Is history about to repeat itself, just one state-wide election cycle later? Will the Ohio Republican party, under the new leadership of Chairman Kevin DeWine, continue the failed strategy of supporting candidates with name recognition over those with a record of strong support for gun rights?

The 2010 race for Attorney General is shaping up to be an excellent bellwether.

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that former U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, who lost his seat in 2006, has filed a designation of treasurer statement with the Ohio secretary of state's office, a move which will allow him to begin raising funds.

DeWine has not said what office he plans to seek, but many political observers believe he has an eye on the attorney general's office. Given that Delaware County Prosecutor Dave Yost has already declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Attorney General, DeWine's move could signal a 2006 deja-vu all over again, pitting vehemently anti-gun DeWine's strong name recognition against the lesser well-known, pro-gun Yost.

Has the Ohio Republican Party learned its lesson? If so, they will quickly signal their support for Dave Yost's campaign, and begin funneling dollars his way. Or, rather, will they decide to back the anti-gun, name recognition candidate, Mike DeWine?

Let's be clear about one thing. Even with party support, Mike DeWine is destined for the same fate Jeanette Bradley and Betty Montgomery suffered in 2006.

The most likely scenario is that he will lose in the primary, leaving the party and media "experts" to once again wonder how a little-known candidate like Prosecutor Yost beat a former U.S. Senator.

If DeWine somehow defeats Yost in the primary, he will find himself facing a pro-gun Democrat, incumbent Richard Cordray, come November.

Either way, DeWine will go back into the political dust bin with the last two well-known anti-gun Republican candidates.

Ask an Ohio Republican Party official today, and they'll be happy to tell you that Republicans are the pro-gun More...

And they wonder why people are disgusted with the Republicans! They can't even stand up for what they believe!

Useless Ohio Senator Mark Wagoner earns Tea Party Patriot Bullseye

From Cleveland Tea Party Patriot Blog --

Fellow Tea Party Patriots,

We want to thank you for contacting our elected officials regarding the proposed budget for the State of Ohio. I felt it was very important to share this with you...

In my calls to our State Senators, there is one in particular that needs a Tea Party Patriot target on his back. That would be Senator Mark Wagoner.

In my calls to his office (5 calls) regarding his role on the Senate Finance Committee and the Conference Committee for the State Budget, Senator Wagoner's office refused to take my calls because I did not live in his district. I was rudely told to contact my own Senator if I had any problems. Even after identifying myself as a Tea Party Patriot and that I was calling specifically about his role in working on the budget - I was again told to contact my own Senator.

With this, we are now directing all Tea Party Patriots to call Senator Wagoner's office and inquire about the budget, inform him we want no earmarks added into budget and most importantly -we want Senator Wagoner's office flooded with phone calls! Senator Wagoner needs to be taught that as an elected official, he WILL address the concerns of all OH residents.

Senator Wagoner is the perfect example of the type of elected official we can no longer stand for.

Here is the contact information for Senator Wagoner;

SCR-13 Ohio Sovereignty Resolution Hearing Scheduled

SCR-13 is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday June 16th by the Senate State & Local Government & Veterans Affairs Committee. Mobilize the troops!

Ohio State House

77 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43215
South Hearing Rm., 10:30 am

Please contact members of the committee
here and request their support of SCR-13, or you may use SLAM or State Liberty Action Mailer here.

A simple and costly example of how the federal government is usurping our 19th Amendement rights would be the forcing of stimulus funds on the states. Even if a Governor would refuse the stimulus funds, like Governor Sanford of SC did - the money can be forced upon the state by law.

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution's principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people. Back on Uncle Sam's Plantation

From Syndicated Columnist Star Parker...
Six years ago I wrote a book called Uncle Sam's Plantation. I wrote the book to tell my own story of what I saw living inside the welfare state and my own transformation out of it.

I said in that book that indeed there are two Americas -- a poor America on socialism and a wealthy America on capitalism.

I talked about government programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Training (JOBS), Emergency Assistance to Needy Families with Children (EANF), Section 8 Housing, and Food Stamps.

A vast sea of perhaps well-intentioned government programs, all initially set into motion in the 1960s by Democrats, that were going to lift the nation's poor out of poverty.

A benevolent Uncle Sam welcomed mostly poor black Americans onto the government plantation. Those who accepted the invitation switched mindsets from "How do I take care of myself?" to "What do I have to do to stay on the plantation?"

Instead of solving economic problems, government welfare socialism created monstrous moral and spiritual problems -- the kind of problems that are inevitable when individuals turn responsibility for their lives over to others.

The legacy of American socialism is our blighted inner cities, dysfunctional inner city schools, and broken black families.

Through God's grace, I found my way out. It was then that I understood what freedom meant and how great this country is.

I had the privilege of working on welfare reform in 1996 which was passed by a Republican controlled Congress.

I thought we were on the road to moving socialism out of our poor black communities and replacing it with wealth-producing American capitalism.

But, incredibly, we are now going in the opposite direction.

Instead of poor America on socialism becoming more like rich American on capitalism, rich America on capitalism is becoming like poor America on socialism.

Uncle Sam has welcomed our banks onto the plantation and they have said, "Thank you, Suh."

Now, instead of thinking about what creative things need to be done to serve customers, they are thinking about what they have to tell Massah in order to get their cash.

There is some kind of irony that this is all happening under our first black president on the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Abraham Lincoln.

Worse, socialism seems to be the element of our new young president. And maybe even more troubling, our corporate executives seem happy to move onto the plantation.

In an op-ed on the opinion page of the Washington Post, Mr. Obama is clear that the goal of his trillion dollar spending plan is much more than short term economic stimulus.

"This plan is more than a prescription for short-term spending -- it's a strategy for America 's long-term growth and opportunity in areas such as renewable energy, healthcare, and education."

Perhaps more incredibly, Obama seems to think that government taking over an economy is a new idea. Or that massive growth in government can take place "with unprecedented transparency and accountability."

Yes, sir, we heard it from Jimmy Carter when he created the Department of Energy, the Synfuels Corporation, and the Department of Education.

Or how about the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 -- The War on Poverty -- which President Johnson said "...does not merely expand old programs or improve what is already being done. It charts a new course. It strikes at the causes, not just the consequences of poverty.."

Trillions of dollars later, black poverty is the same. But black families are not, with triple the incidence of single-parent homes and out-of-wedlock births.

It's not complicated. Americans can accept Barack Obama's invitation to move onto the plantation. Or they can choose personal responsibility and freedom.

Does anyone really need to think about what the choice should be?

"The trouble with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Tea Party Patriots - Keep Up the Good Work!
Demand NO Earmarks be included in Ohio Budget

It is now time for the dirty work on crafting Ohio's 2yr Budget. Our state legislators will convene in conference committees to "work out" differences between the OH House & OH Senate versions of our proposed budget.

Our calls, letters and emails to the Senate Finance Committe worked! The current Senate version of the budget contains cuts across the board and most importantly contains -- NO EARMARKS!

Our work is not done! The Conference Committee is where the lobbyists will try pressuring our state legislators into putting earmarks back into the budget. It is only by the Silent Majority, being Silent No More -- that we can stop this!

We, the Tea Party Patriots, must continue the fight! We are asking that you, as a Tea Party Patriot, contact Senate President Bill Harris & House Speaker Armond Budish by letter, phone call, fax or email and demand that any budget proposal coming out of the Conference Committee also contain NO EARMARKS! Anything less is unacceptable!

Please find below the contact information for Senate President Bill Harris and Ohio House Speaker Armond Budish.

Brunner caught with hand in Campaign Fund Cookie Jar

It looks likes Ohio Secratary of State, Jennifer Brunner (D) may have been caught with her hand in the campaign finance cookie-jar.

A tip of King's Crown to Matt at Weapons of Mass Discussion...

There is only one word that properly describes the explanations coming out of Jen Brunner & her campaign on this issue of campaign expenditures from her Secretary of State account in the final days of its existence:

Preposterous

Merriam-Webster defines "preposterous" as follows: contrary to nature, reason, or common sense: absurd

http://www.dispatchpolitics.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2009/06/06/copy/brunner_spending.ART_ART_06-06-09_A1_1RE3J2R.html?adsec=politics&sid=101

All I can say is that this better be Day #1 of a multitude of daily stories until Jennifer Lee comes up with a plausible explanation instead of the fairy tale they are telling at this point in time.

Yesterday she said, "If there's a problem, we'll fix it." The word "problem" is very far off base because it is singular and not plural. Jenny: The appropriate word to use in that situation would have been "problems."

I would have to say it is a "problem" when you used to defend people who used their campaign funds illegally as an elections law attorney, then you were a judge & now you hold the position of head honcho over all things legal or illegal in the world of campaign finance. You either don't know the law which is a "problem" or you know the law, knowingly broke it and did not think you would get caught breaking it which is a "problem" or you have had no idea about what is and is not going on with your campaign and that is also a "problem." Yep, no matter how you look at this situation it is a "problem."

I think it is a "problem" when $15,500 was spent on office equipment, supplies and cell phones and neither you nor any of your staff have any idea where the office equipment, supplies and cell phones are or who is using them. That is the biggest bunch of barnacles I may ever have heard in this lifetime. Let's put that up to the smell test. Assuming you or your staff went to Staples & Best Buy that $15,500 could have bought the following:

5 HP Pavilion Laptops for a total of $4,000
5 Deluxe Computer desks for a total of $1,250
10 boxes of paper at $430
2 Canon Rebel Campaign Cameras for total of $1,160
1 Epson Scanner for $220
1 Canon VIXIA camcorder for $750
5 HP PC Bundles for total of $4,150
1 Xerox Color printer/copier/fax $550
4 Printer cartridges for the All in One $900
4 Blackberry Storms for a current Verizon customer for $2,000 at Best Buy
Total of $15,420

That is what $15,500 will buy you between Staples & Verizon (assuming you were already a Verizon customer) at Best Buy.

Of the thousands of people who will read this blog post on Sunday I would like to hear from anyone who could buy the above 44 different items (some high-end ticket items & some that take up quite a bit of space) and not have any idea where they are less
than four months after you bought them.

Is there anyone out there who would not know where these $15,500 worth of items were?

Anyone??? Bueller...Bueller...Anyone??? Bueller???

Nope. I didn't think so.

Yes, Jen. You have a problem.

A big problem.

I guess my problems thus far are why is this not in EVERY newspaper in the state?

Is this a Tom Charles issue or a Phil Richter issue or a Ron O'Brien issue??? Where are they?

If Monty Will got whacked for $125,000 and Ray Miller got cotton balls thrown at him (i.e. a $1,000 fine) then what will these infractions equal up to fine-wise? $5,000? $25,000? $100,000?

I mean she can't plead she doesn't know the law. Since she could not plead that then she plead that her campaign broke the law, she knew nothing about them breaking the law and now she is going to investigate and (my guess is for apprearance's sake) heads (not her own) are going to roll.

Right now Pia Brady (Brunner's spokeswoman who needs to go to Amanda Worst's spokeperson camp this summer so she can learn to lie to the press better) says she does not know where the office equipment or office supplies are nor does she know where the cell phones are or who is using them.

My guess is Jen probably also will have a "problem" if the press does the leg work to see the actual space that Brunner has been using, ascertain what class the space is and then price it at market value. My guess is the law firm has been charging a
premium for said space.

Finally, Brunner said she has been busy doing her job as secretary of state and campaigning for the Senate and will "talk to her staff" to clear up questions about campaign fund expenditures.

Ha ha ha ha ha hee hee hee hee hee hee hee...oh stop...stop...you are killing me. That was a good one, Jennifer Lee.

What job are you doing as Secretary of State? Seriously. It is an odd-numbered year and the primaries are over. The only thing you really have in your lap right now that is active is the Husted residency issue and you are very, very smartly sitting on it and doing absolutely nothing with it since the press is not calling you on being 100%
political and sitting on it the way you are.

There is no plausible reason you or your office can give now that it is June that could give you a reason for not declaring a verdict on the Husted residency issue.

This SHOULD be a "problem" for you, but up until this point in time it is not.

So you don't have any elections to deal with until November, you are dragging your feet on the Husted residency issue and you are not looking in on what your SOS or Senate campaigns were doing or are currently doing...what job are you doing with your SOS hat on? I think a lot of people would love to know the answer to that.

  • Will Brunner get a pass on this law-breaking maneuver or will the press and the appropriate authorities investigate???

  • Will Brunner continue to get a pass on being political with this Husted residency issue???

I don't know why Matt is so upset - on TV last night, Brunner said she will be investigating herself. That should give us a a sigh of relief. Yeah Right!

Cuyahoga County Land Bank has County Treasurer Showing his Political Fangs

Here's a great example of what happens if you do not toe the line in the political circles in Cuyahoga County - you get attacked. In this case you are called incompetent and asked to be removed from your job of 19 years.

Reviewing the numbers for the newly created County Land Bank, which was expected to raise millions for the county by purchasing & collecting taxes on foreclosed properties, Budget Director Sandy Turk comes to the conclusion that the numbers don't work. Turk estimates the Land Bank will cost the county about $30 million in start up money to buy foreclosed properties, and will cause the county to lose approximately $2 million a year.

One of the snakes pushing for a cosmetic reform of Cuyahoga County Government and one of the brain trusts behind creating a county land bank - Cuyahoga County Treasurer James Rocockiss - (who by the way is looking to advance his own political career with this reform) will stand for no one to challenge his cherry picked numbers...
Rokakis, who has billed the land bank program as a money maker, said Tuesday that he considers the analysis by Budget Director Sandy Turk to be flawed and that he intends to ask county commissioners for her removal.

"She deliberately misstated numbers to create the illusion that the land bank would cost the county money," he said. (PD)

This woman has some nerve challenging Big Jim - huh? Rocockiss, angling for a Commissioner spot in the next election, or the County Executive spot, if and when a country reform passes, could not have anyone making him look bad.

The Plain Dealer reports that after presenting her report things got testy and Rocockiss placed a not so friendly call to Turk....
Exactly what was said in the exchange is a matter of dispute.

According to Turk, Rokakis asked if she was going to take a buyout being offered to county employees. Then, Turk said, the treasurer added: "Maybe you will when I become the next commissioner next year."

Rokakis denied making any reference to becoming a commissioner, but he acknowledged advising Turk to retire early: "I said, 'You know Sandy, you should take the buyout because you're an incompetent.' "

Rokakis said Turk underestimated interest on the loan to the land bank. The treasurer said his problems with Turk aren't limited to her report on the land bank. For instance, he said, Turk opposed him taking over responsibility for county investments years ago.

As we can see, Turk stands to lose her job of 19 years - so why would she purposely dispute the proposed numbers - she has nothing to gain by stirring the pot. On the other hand, a failed and costly County Land Bank, could have a high political cost for Rocockiss, a Democrat. So who do you believe?

But don't worry... I'm sure the "watch dogs" at the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County (RPCC) are all over this and have went through all the details with a fine tooth comb and have offered their stance on the integrity of the numbers - right?

Nope, the clueless & useless over-paid cads at the RPCC are busy watching and promoting the local version of Dancing with the Stars.

Ohio House Speaker - Armond Budish - A Democrat Double Standard!

In the next two weeks we will be hearing about how terrible the financial future of Ohio is. This will be advanced when the projected revenues for the state are expected in the next several days. While we are in financial trouble, in Rahm Emmanuel like fashion, a larger financial crisis will be portrayed. Why? Because it is time for the Conference Committees to start hammering out the different versions of Ohio' proposed budget for the next two years.

The conference committee is where the House will try to restore cuts and earmarks from their version of the budget that were removed in the Senate version of the budget. In reality, both versions are nothing more than smoke and mirrors until the projected revenues are reviewed. With 10.2% unemployment and a sinking auto industry - they are not expected to look good.

Along with education, one of the biggest drains on our budget is Medicaid and Nursing Homes....
The health-care program designed for the poor, regardless of age, gobbles up 38 percent of the state's current two-year, $52 billion budget. That's more than the state spends on primary, secondary and higher education combined. And nursing homes -- which are paid through Medicaid -- consume 22 percent of the state's Medicaid budget, the largest single portion. (PD)

So I ask... Would you feel safe if a person who has personal ties to the Nursing Home industry and makes a living off teaching people how to get around Medicaid laws played a major role in crafting the budget that will fund these programs?

If this obvious double standard does bother you, let me introduce you to Speaker of the Ohio House - Armond Budish...

Budish has built a national reputation advocating ways to take advantage of Medicaid, which has stringent income requirements. To qualify for nursing home care, a person can't have assets worth more than a few thousand dollars apart from a home.

In 1989, he wrote a book that discussed the subject, called "Avoiding the Medicaid Trap: How to Beat the Catastrophic Costs of Nursing-Home Care." And he wrote about the topic in columns for The Plain Dealer and Family Circle.

"How can we get prescription drug coverage if we have too much money?" asked one reader.

Budish answered in a 2002 Plain Dealer column by advising people with a home and $100,000 in savings to pay off debt and invest in exempt assets such as home improvements.

"You may put your CDs or stocks into your son's name to reduce your countable assets," he added. "If you need money later, your child can return it to you."

He still dispenses Medicaid advice on his weekly television show, "Golden Opportunities," which tackles issues of interest to older Ohioans. (PD)

Not happy with just advancing his own interests, Budish wants to share his power by helping out his longtime buddy and lobbyist for the Nursing Homes - Alan Melamed. Melamed personally donated $10,000 to Budish during his election campaign...
While Budish downplayed his role in crafting the budget, he can decide what line items make it into the House's two-year spending plan. And he came to the nursing home decision while his long-time friend and political adviser Alan Melamed acted as one of the industry's top lobbyists.

Melamed advocated for the Skilled Nursing Care Coalition, which represents three nursing home associations and led a public campaign against Strickland's budget.

Nursing home operators, their political action committees and employees contributed more than $72,000 to Budish in 2008, the year Democrats took control of the House and Budish maneuvered to become speaker with Melamed by his side. (PD)

Budish, Melamed, nursing homes, and Ohio Democrats feel their is no double standard and stress that we should not fear a thing - there is no pay to play. I agree! It is more like having your wife's attorney represent you in a messy divorce.

Justice Dept rules OK to Carry Clubs and use Racial Epithets at Voting Polls

Boy, them campaign laws are always changing! The Justice Dept. cleared up a little misunderstanding of allowable campaign techniques. All "hate crime" laws will be suspended on election day.

It appears some of the "New" Black Panthers working the polls were overly enthusiastic when they were handing out "I Voted" stickers and ruffled some lily-white feathers...

From the Patriot Post --

Charges of voter intimidation against three members of the "New" Black Panther Party were dropped this week by the Obama Justice Department. It should have been an open-and-shut case of voter intimidation and harassment. Men in paramilitary uniforms, at least some of whom belonged to Louis Farrakhan's infamous Nation of Islam, were caught on videotape standing in front of a Philadelphia precinct blocking the doorway while voters tried to enter on Election Day last November. The thugs, one of whom brandished a club, cast menacing stares and racial epithets at white voters in line.

The men responsible were charged and the Obama administration actually won the case, but they moved to dismiss the charges on May 15. No justifiable explanation has been given, but we can reasonably suspect that it's primarily because Obama doesn't want to anger his constituents. A spokesman for the Justice Department had the nerve to state, "The department is committed to the vigorous prosecution of those who intimidate, threaten or coerce anyone exercising his or her sacred right to vote." The department clearly did not do that in this situation. Liberal civil rights attorney Bartle Bull was a witness and is leading the charge against the administration's actions.

Meanwhile, the "Justice" Department rejected a program put in place by Georgia's Secretary of State Karen Handel to screen state databases to flag ineligible voters. Their excuse was that the program was inaccurate and discriminatory, though they refused to share the information that led to that conclusion. Handel, who is a Republican candidate for governor, noted that the decision would lead to a flood of non-qualified voters. She also noted the irony that Justice was on board for the program when it was created. What changed? The ruling party in Washington, and the new bosses want wide open voter rolls with no restrictions on eligibility because it makes it easier for them to rig elections.
I wonder what would happen if the Tea Party Patriots would be politically active like this? Or maybe if a pro-life group or the NRA welcomed people to the polls in this manner.

Don't worry, the Department of Homeland Security, Justice Dept & the FBI will be keeping us safe from these radical, one issued, Bible-toting, gun-clinging, life-loving extremist hate groups and those damn pagan Tea Party Patriots who think they can hide behind their God given rights -- that are protected by the Constitution. They have some nerve -- huh?

Rumor has it that the "Old" Ku Klux Klan will be forming the "New" Ku Klux Klan and will also be assisting at the polls in the next election.

Health Care to be forced on Employers

The Senate Drunk, Ted Kennedy, is offering up his version of "guaranteed health insurance."
As noted below this is to coincide with the unleashing of Premier Obamao's plan to drive us one step closer to his socialist goals.

If you think what we are facing in this country today is scary... what government helath care will do to our country should have you leaving brown spots in your pants....
Employers would be required to offer health care to employees or pay a penalty — and all Americans would be guaranteed health insurance — under a draft bill circulated Friday by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's health committee.

The bill would provide subsidies to help poor people pay for care, guarantee patients the right to select any doctor they want and require everyone to purchase insurance, with exceptions for those who can't afford to.

Insurers would be supposed to offer a basic level of care and would be required to cover all comers, without turning people away because of pre-existing conditions or other reasons. Insurance companies' profits would be limited, and private companies would have to compete with a new public "affordable access" plan that would for the first time offer government-sponsored health care to Americans not eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or other programs.

The bill language became public on the eve of the kickoff of a national campaign to rally support for health care legislation that's being orchestrated by Obama's campaign team. Thousands of community events are scheduled around the nation Saturday where tens of thousands of people are supposed to discuss health care issues with their neighbors and create a groundswell for congressional action. More...

American citizens will become like produce, the older you get and the more you shrivel up - the closer you will be to getting tossed away in the garbage. For those that still don't understand... when the government health care no longer deems you as a viable asset and you beomce more of a liabilty to health care costs - you will be refused health care and left to die. Pretty much the same way Ted the Drunk left Mary Jo Kopchne to die.

First Terrorist Attack on US Soil Since 9/11

Call it what you want... but be truthful -- it was a terrorist attack on US soldiers on US soil by a muslim upset with US military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan....

NY Times --

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, was escorted from the Little Rock police headquarters in Arkansas on Monday. Muhammad is the suspect in the killing of a soldier in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center, police said.

The gunman, identified by the police as Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad of Little Rock, fled the scene and was arrested minutes later a short distance from the recruiting station, in a bustling suburban shopping center. The police confiscated a Russian-made SKS semiautomatic rifle, a .22-caliber rifle and a handgun from his black pickup truck.

In a lengthy interview with the police, Mr. Muhammad said he was angry about the killing of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, Chief Thomas said. Previously known as Carlos Bledsoe, Mr. Muhammad told investigators that he had converted to Islam as a teenager, Chief Thomas said. More...

Maybe President Hocknob could figure out a way he can apologize to Muslims for this too!

President O-Zebra Changes his Stripes for Muslims

With Super Hero like capabilities President O-Zebra can change from black to white, and back to black in the blink of an eye. Beside taking over the auto industry with the swoop of a bankruptcy judges pen, O-Zebra is to able to redefine the existence of our country along with changing from Christian to Muslim in the flip of a Quran page. President O-Zebra's morphing can rival that of only anti-American Krusader - John Kerry or a chameleon.

He can "get 'down' in the ghetto" and as uppity with the snobs in San Fagcisco or the east coast. Pretty much, at the mere flip of a teleprompter screen, O-Zebra is able to morph into any character that best suits his task for the day.

All through his campaign - in white crowds he embraced his white heritage, in black crowds - he was just anotha' brotha. Some Americans were fearful of his Muslim heritage - no problem... he states his father was an agnostic Muslim. Nothing to fear about his Christianity - we all know about his God D--- USA loving Rev. Wright.

Pop over to part of the world where suicide vests are all the rage and he becomes Super Muslim! Even though everyone of our founding documents and the Constitution's of every state in our union make reference to God, a higher power, providence, our Creator and the oath taken by our elected officials is sworn on a Bible, O-Zebra tries dismantling our Red, White & Blue stripes by declaring we are NOT a Christian nation.
Obama, June 28, 2006 (as delivered): Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation – at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.

Now that he has moved on up and fooled everyone, our Chameleon in Chief has no problem embracing his TNT vest wearing heritage. Wanting to make nice like he did with his socialist buddy Hugo Chavez, O-Zebra wants to impress the Islamikazes who have sworn "Death to America" that he's straight, he's tight, he ain't perpetrating no fraud - his name is Barack HUUUsien Obama - he's down with them!

Forgetting to mention to his Muslim brothers that his father was an agnostic Muslim (a big no-no) and referring to his new "let' em have nukes" buddies in Iran, as the "Islamic Republic of Iran," a name many Iranians reject, President Hocknob continues his Apology Tour...
Obama spoke at a seat of Islamic learning, his 55-minute address suffused with respect for touchstones of the religion. He said the time had come to "speak the truth" and "seek a new beginning."

"America and Islam are not exclusive," he said, "and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings." (Yahoo News)

If the USA waterboards terrorists it is torture... but beheading's, lashings, killing homosexuals, degrading women, killing innocent non-believers by Islamikazes is sharing a common principle of justice, progress, tolerance and dignity with our country? Hmm! Instead of being in U.S. History class that day - I must have been smokin' & tokin' in the boys room...

"Much has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected president," he said. "But my personal story is not so unique." He went on to say the dream of America exists for all who go there — including nearly 7 million Muslims.

Obama said it was part of his responsibilities as president "to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

"As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk," he said. "As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith."

Yet he remarked, as he did in a speech to another important Muslim audience, in Turkey, that "America is not — and never will be — at war with Islam."

I guess that means even if they are at war with us. I always thought the person leading the USA was supposed to be against negative stereotypes of OUR country - not apologize for them. Damn, guess I was stoned in U.S. History class that day too.

Good thing for Chief Chameleon is that the teleprompter must have been working... wouldn't want to slip with the truth and say, "born in Indonesia."

Government Motors of Socialist America

From Politically Incorrect Gazette

Ohio Senate Smoke & Mirror Budget Bill

OK my fellow Ohioans, its' coming and no grease is being used. The Ohio Senate is expected to vote on their version of the upcoming budget. After passing a party line vote in the Senate Finance Committee, the Senate's smoke & mirrors crafted budget, while a little better than the House proposal - still has a lot to be desired. The Senate version of the budget, hospital bailouts included, is expected to pass with no problems.
After the Senate moves their version of the two-year state government spending document, a joint House-Senate conference committee will be named to hammer out the wide gulf separating the two chambers' spending plans this year. Complicating the conference committee's work are new revenue estimates for 2010 and 2011, which will arrive in June -- that could be at least $1 billion less than anticipated. (PD)

The true test will be how the projected revenues will match up with the proposed budget. In speaking with some of our State Senators - they do not expect these numbers to look good. In fact - they expect them to look terrible. With 10.2% unemployment, how could they not?

Tucked away in the budget bull is a provision for reforming government in Cuyahoga County. This would be on the ballot if passed and then if approved by the Cuyahoga County Kommissioners. It is nothing more than shuffling a deck of marked cards - but that is a post for later today.
